Your face is personal. Your skin journey is personal. And the photos you take? Extremely personal.
We don’t take that lightly.
Gently exists to help you understand your skin better — not to judge it, profile it, or quietly monetize it behind the scenes. This page explains, in plain language, how we keep you safe and why you can trust us.
Your Photos Stay Yours
When you upload a photo for skincare analysis, here’s what actually happens:
We process the image to generate the result you asked for. That’s it.
We do not:
Identify who you are
Run facial recognition
Extract biometric data
Map your face geometry
Use your images to train AI
Sell or share your photos
If you decide to save your result, the image is securely stored inside your account so you can revisit it later.
If you don’t save it, it isn’t kept.
And whenever you want something gone, you can delete it.
No hidden layers. No quiet reuse.
You Control Your Data
We only collect what’s necessary to run the app:
Your email
Basic account info
Non-identifiable usage analytics (like which features people use most)
We don’t collect unnecessary personal details. We don’t build secret profiles.
Inside the app, you can:
Delete saved images
Remove stored results
Delete your account completely
Deleting your account permanently removes your stored data.

We Don’t Sell You (or Your Data)
Let’s say this clearly:
We do not sell personal information.
We do not sell images.
We do not share photos with advertisers.
Some service providers help us host and operate the app, but they only access encrypted data required to do their job — and they’re legally required to protect it.
Your face is not inventory.
Security Isn’t an Afterthought
We use industry-standard encryption, secure servers, and restricted access controls to protect your data.
No system on earth can promise 100% perfection. But protecting your information isn’t optional for us — it’s foundational.
We update our safeguards regularly as technology evolves.
This Is About Skin — Not Perfection
Gently is designed to support you, not criticize you.
It’s not a medical device and it doesn’t replace a dermatologist. If something feels serious, always consult a licensed professional.
We think skincare should feel empowering, not anxiety-inducing. We build features with that in mind.
Age & Safety
Gently isn’t intended for children under 13. If we discover that data from someone under that age has been collected, we remove it.

Trust isn’t built through fine print. It’s built through transparency.

We’d rather answer hard questions than hide behind corporate language.
You’re trusting us with your face — sometimes on days you feel confident, sometimes on days you don’t.
